Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) - email authentication for a user (Manager only)

There may be some situations where MFA is required but the user does not have access to a smartphone or authentication app. In this case the GVO Manager to switch this user to receive one-time passcodes via email.

If a user is unable to register for MFA with an authentication App on a smart device (smartphone) then they can be set up to receive email passcodes by the GVO Manager.

Steps to do this (assuming the MFA is switched on for the GVO).

  1. Navigate to the user profile for this user
     
  2. Edit the profile
     
  3. Look for the MFA section in the profile set-up


     
  4. Select the appropriate option and SUBMIT


When this user next attempts to sign in they will be sent an email with a code which they enter here...

The user can set a 'Trusted Device' in the same way that any user with the Authentication App can.
