Marking a Task as Fully Complete

MARKING A TASK AS FULLY COMPLETE

When the Task is 'fully Complete' (so all assigned users have marked their completion or a decision is taken that the Task can be marked as Fully Complete then the Task Owner* can do this in two ways.

  1. Navigate to the Task, check the completions and then use Actions/Mark as Fully Complete

This will mark this task as Fully Complete (for reporting purposes) and it will also 'Lock' the Partial completions to prevent any changes. A fully completed task looks like this...

The list of Completions is still available, the task is shown as Complete and Completions by Assignees is locked.

    * If the Task has only been assigned to one person then that person can also use Actions/Mark as Fully Completed. This is not possible if there are multiple assignees.

  2. The second way to do this is to EDIT the task using Actions/Edit. This is only available to the Task Owner plus any user with appropriate permissions in their user profile.
This will open up the edit screen where there are two checkboxes about completion available.

    Completion Options

Use the checkboxes to set the completion status for this task.

Note: Selecting the 'Completed' checkbox will automatically set the 'Completions Locked' checkbox as well (the most common scenario) but you can untick the 'Completions Locked' which means that the Task will be considered COMPLETE but people can still add/remove their partial completions - so all possibilities are available.

One the Task is marked as completed for a user or fully completed by the task owner then that task will only appear in the 'Completed' parts of the Task area and Task Reporting.
