Clearing your web browser history

In some situations the web browser you are using may store a copy of a GVO page so it is quicker to load when you use it (this is called cacheing). This is normally OK but sometimes the browser does not realise that the page has changed and needs to be refreshed.

An example of this may be if you have deleted something and you look at the page in the GVO and it is still there. In most situations this will resolve itself very quickly but sometimes it can be handy to clear the browser history (clear the cache)  so that it needs to go and find the page again.

Below are links to the instructions about clearing your web browser for the most popular web browsers.

Clear FIREFOX history

Clear CHROME history

Clear EDGE history

If you are seeing something that you think should not be there it is always worth trying to sign into the GVO on another device or use a different browser to see if it goes away. If you think there is an ongoing problem please contact the GVO Support Desk on 01273 921066 or support@thegvoffice.com
