Missing Password Reset email

When a new user is set up in the GVO by the local GVO Manager a welcome email is sent that contains a link to the GVO and a link to set a password. Also, when the 'Forgotten Password' option is used an email with a link to set a new password is sent to that email address by the system.

If this password reset email does not arrive within a few minutes then there are a few possible reasons....

  1. The email may have gone into the junk/spam folders - check these folders
  2. The email address may have been entered incorrectly (either by the Manager adding a new user or by the user typing the email address incorrectly in the forgotten password screen)
  3. You may be using OUTLOOK and have the 'focused inbox' switched on - the email may be in the 'other' folder - trying switching 'focused inbox' off
  4. The email may have been blocked by the school system - please ensure that emails from noreply@mg.thegvoffice.com are allowed.
     

It is also a good idea to ensure that the local IT security system is not blocking traffic from the GVO so please ensure that the following addresses are on the 'whitelist' (allowed sites).
