Preview

The Preview function is a key part of the GVO. When you navigate to a document in the GVO (in a meeting pack or on a 'page')  there is usually a 'Preview' option. For Single documents (files or files with approvals) the preview is already there.

If you use the Preview you will get a very quick, clear and easy way to view the document (use the 'Full Width' or 'Zoom' options to get more detail). When you have looked through the document just press 'Close Preview'.

NOTE: The 'Preview' will work well on 'simple' documents and PDFs BUT if the document is complex (eg EXCEL with Macros, PowerPoint with animations) then it is better to use the 'download' function to view the document in the original program.

Note: Preview is available for PDF, EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT & JPEG/BMP/PNG files (note, older versions of WORD are not supported - ideally they should be in docx format. Macro-enabled spreadsheets are also not supported as the preview may not give the same result as when the macros are run).

The Preview function works very well when looking at links in meeting packs.

Below is an example of a 'Preview' of a simple WORD document and below is the same document in 'Full Width' mode which makes it much easier to read.

Use the page navigation buttons (bottom left of preview ) for larger documents.
