Note: You can only move a folder if your user profile allows this. If you need to be able to do this and don’t have the correct level of access then please contact your local GVO Manager.
To move a folder follow the steps below (there are two ways to do this).
NOTE: You need to use the second method if you wish to move a folder from the main navigator (left hand menu) to another location.
FIRST METHOD
1. Identify the folder to move. Select it by using the checkbox.
Then use Actions/Move Selected...
Then identify the location you wish to move it to...and press OK.
The folder (and all contents) have now been moved.
SECOND METHOD
1. The second method is to open the folder up (click on it) - you are now looking at the folder and the contents of that folder including any files and sub-folders
2. Use the Actions/Folder Properties button ...this will open up the Folder Properties screen (which shows you the type of folder and any other folder settings).
3. Use the Actions/Move this Folder option (if your profile and the folder settings allow this)
4. Select the folder where you want this folder to be located....and press OK
Note: If you are moving a folder from the main navigator (left hand menu) then you will need to 'uncheck' the 'Include in main menu' checkbox to open up the folder structure.
Press Submit.
The folder (and all contents including sub-folders and files) will be moved to the new location.
