Preparing for Governor Records in a MAT

In order to set up Governor records in a MAT you will need to contact the GVO Support Team (support@thegvoffice.com or 01273 921066) to 'switch on' MAT MODE.

Before the GVO is set to MAT MODE there are some key decisions and information that are needed to help with the implementation.

It is important to prepare this necessary information as PERSONAL DATA REDACTION becomes  active when MAT MODE is switched on and this means that Governors will not see email addresses etc of any GVO users until the board structure is set up and populated.

In a MAT GVO Users can only see the contact details of users who are on the same trust or local school board as themselves - this is important in a large MAT.

The information that is needed to set up the MAT quickly is:-

1. The name of the Trust Board and each Local School Board
2. The users who are members of each board
3. The Committees that are part of the Trust Board and each Local School Board

It is a very quick and easy to set up the boards and to allocate users to each board when the information is pre-prepared. As soon as users are added to a board they will be able to see the contact details of other members of that board. For users who are on different boards then the personal data will be REDACTED - but GVO notifications can still be used.

It is also good practice to set up the 'GOVERNOR RECORDS MASTER DATA' in advance.

For more information please contact the GVO Support Team who will be happy to help.
