Recover deleted file

When a GVO Document (file, event, task, discussion, Policy)  is deleted it is moved to the GVO Wastebin.

The local GVO Manager has access to the wastebin and can recover the file back to the original location (retaining any access restrictions that the document has).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please make sure that the folder that any document will be recovered to exists. If the document was deleted when a folder was deleted it is the FOLDER that must be recovered and all the documents inside will also be recovered.

To recover a document follow the steps below:-

1. Use the 'Wastebin' option on the main navigation menu (only visible to local GVO Manager)

2. Locate the file to be recovered (in this case a document from the Key Documents/SEF folder)

 

3. Tick the document and press the 'Restore Selected' button

4. Confirm that you wish to restore the document
 

5. Navigate to the folder where the document should be seen to check it is there correctly
