It is very quick and easy to add an ICON to the home screen of an iPad/iPhone that opens up a particular webpage. This is only possible with the Safari browser in the iPad/iPhone (it does not work with the Chrome browser).
To create the screen icon follow the steps below:-
1. Open up the Safari browser on your iPad/iPhone and navigate to the desired webpage (for a GVO icon go to www.thegvoffice.com/login or www.thegvoffice.com for the website)
2. Tap the ‘SHARE’ icon (box with an arrow coming out of it) at the top of the screen
3. On the lower row of options available look for the ‘Add to Home Screen’ option – tap this.
4. A small icon will be displayed and also the name of the icon to be created (you can change this). Press Add to save the icon
5. To move the new icon to the correct place on your device press and hold the icon until all the icons start to ‘wobble’. You can drag the GVO icon to its new location and to save this press the ‘home’ button (the large button) – the icons will stop wobbling.
6. When you press the new icon it will take you straight to the GVO
NOTE: To create an icon on an Android tablet/smartphone use the same method – navigate to www.thegvoffice.com and use the ‘add to home screen’ from the CHROME browser
