Policy Types

When a Policy is created there are certain attributes that are given to it.

  1. Effective Date and Review Date
  2. Owner(s)
  3. Policy Type
  4. Statutory
  5. Publish Publicly


The Policy Types is a 'drop-down' list that can be configured by your local GVO Manager for your GVO in the GVO Settings area. The screenshot below gives an example of a standard set of Policy Types - your local manager to can define the list that works for you.

The advantage of using a standard set of Policy Types is when you look at the full list of school policies you can sort by policy type so that (for example) all the Statutory ones appear together (see below).

The 'Statutory' flag also allows you to see the Statutory Policies in one list (see the Reporting Section) - this allows you to see any overdue Statutory Policies very easily
